At some point, the competition caught up perf wise, and I futzed about with other browsers, but I was too entrenched in the Google ecosystem, and none of the competition offered enough incentive to make me switch permanently.Įventually though, Chrome became the de facto default browser worldwide, and I realized that, as much as I like Google, I didn't really want to support a browser monopoly.
